Our county leaders have shown themselves to be quite corrupt. The reason why: they never have anyone challenging them. In 2022, the District 7 Magistrate ran fully unopposed, and Suzette is committed to creating a healthy competition in a democracy. The current District 7 Magistrate paid himself $1,000 after he got that donation from a PAC. There's no reason a PAC should be involved in Oldham County, and there's no reason a Magistrate, who already makes a high salary, should be paying himself campaign funds. Suzette's running to challenge the system that lets local county government be increasingly corrupt.
